The Tulip Armchair, which resembles a flower, was Saarinen's last furniture series. This one-led chair was meant to alleviate one of the designer's great concerns: "clutter". Describing his intentions to simplify and clarify structure, he once said: "The undercarriage of chairs and tables in a typical interior makes an ugly, confusing, unrestful world. I wanted to make the chair all one thing again."The original design won numerous awards. This chair features an aluminium base in white or black powder coating. Our products are reproduced to the style of the original design.
